DeLaSalle's New Class!

Imagine designing and building a prototype of an electric car that could actually revolutionize the car industry in America!
That's what eight DeLaSalle students are doing this semester (see picture above) through the genius of former architect and car buff, Steve Rees.
For the past ten years, Steve has been helping DeLaSalle reach out to DeLaSalle students who are looking for that "big break" in their lives.
After developing a mentor program, two classes of Car Design 101, and one class of Studio Design, Steve decided to call his "car-buff" friends to help him develop a "breakthrough" program for DeLaSalle.
Steve's friends are among the best and the brightest in the car design and development fields. They quickly developed an incredible curriculum; Steve worked with the DeLaSalle staff to find a group of students who would be benefitted and challenged by such an experience.
Now, PLEASE go to their web page and be AMAZED! It's: http://delasalleautodesignstudio.wikispaces.com/

DeLaSalle's Super GAMEDAY!

With the Super Bowl approaching this Sunday, I thought it might be timely to recall DeLaSalle's SUPER Football game in 1988.
We were honored that year to be the recipient (along with Genesis School) of the Fourth Annual Chiefs Children's Fund Benefit Game.
I can't remember if the Kansas City Chiefs won or lost that pre-season game, but we raised considerable funds that night to help launch our first capital fund drive!
Go DeLaSalle!

Our Three Grandchildren!

Our three grandchildren are each so beautiful and captivating!
Jolie is at the top; she is two years old, and a lovely ballerina, by turns!
Next, in the middle, is Amelia Aren, aged 4 and one-half; she is the princess of our heart!
Finally, Andres Diego peers down from his jungle house loft! He is 8, and into Uggio.
We love them each and all!

Blessed in Hilo...

...and also happy to be back in Kansas City!
Karol and I had a whirlwind, 8 day trip to Hilo, Hawaii, to see our three children and three grandchildren and look for our future home.
